I had Botox injections for digital ulcers.

Celebration Drinks by Shelley Ensz

I was twenty-nine years old when I started having pain in my fingers when I was cold. It went on for a few years like this

One morning I woke up for work and I had so much pain in my hand and fingers that I had to go to the hospital. The doctors had no clue what was going on with me. I also had a dark ring around my belly. I just didn't know what was going on.

After about a year of pain and barely getting out of bed, finally one of my doctors wanted to try something new. Botox injections in my hands. And it really works! I had three ulcers on my hands from Raynaud's and by the next day they were gone.

SCLERO.ORG was the world's leading nonprofit for trustworthy research, support, education and awareness for scleroderma and related illnesses from 1998 to 2021. It was a grassroots movement from the original Scleroderma from A to Z web site, which was founded by Shelley Ensz. We were a 501(c)(3) U.S.-based public charitable foundation. We closed this web site and our nonprofit agency in April 2021.
