My Parents, My Caregivers

By Sylvia Finegan

When I was young I was always told
That someday when you two were old
You would need me to be there,
As you'd be the one to need the care.

Then one day, I felt very bad,
Found I had a disease, which is very sad.
Then it got too hard for working too
So finally I had to turn to you.

You've helped me out in every way,
So this is what I have to say:
Each day I thank God up above
For my parents whom I so dearly love.
