Hello! My name is Susanne Piché. I am a (now retired) ISN Desktop Publisher from outside of Boston, Massachusetts. I earned a BFA in graphic design from the University of Georgia, moved to Boston, then worked for ten years as a graphic artist with a number of magazines, ad agencies and corporations. While taking some time off to help with family responsibilities, I trained for web and the ever-evolving digital world. I now have my own business again, Forge River Studios, working with various companies in the Boston area. When I'm not working on design jobs or spending time with my family, I usually can be found behind an easel in my garage. I am also a fine artist. I participate in shows and have won some awards recently, I might add! I enjoy helping others and am grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to the International Sclerodema Network. Both scleroderma and pulmonary fibrosis have struck in my family. I personally found out then that most people, including myself, had never heard about either illness. I hope that my involvement will help others deal with this difficult disease. I retired as a volunteer ISN Desktop Publisher in July 2008. |
