How to Volunteer for the nonprofit International Scleroderma Network (ISN)

To Volunteer:
1. (Optional) Inquire about openings
Email Volunteer Services
You should always hear from us to acknowledge your email or forms submission within 2 business days. If you don't, please contact us again. It may have been lost in cyberspace. Feel free to follow up with us by phone, as well.
Our openings are listed by teams, so look at the Organization Chart for team(s) you are interested in (see the links above). Often we have openings that are not described or listed yet. So let us know what teams or positions you might be interested in.

We have some Position Descriptions defined. With very few exceptions, most of our openings are for people who volunteer via the Internet, using their own computers and software, from anywhere in the world.

2. Send in your volunteer application.
Our policy requires that we need to have a volunteer application on file for all of our positions. Please let us know if you have trouble viewing, completing or submitting the form. We let all applicants know whether their application has been received and/or approved as quickly as possible. You should always hear from us to acknowledge your forms submission within 2 business days. If you don't, please contact us again by email or phone. If you plan on holding a major fundraiser for us, we will need to register the event with your state, so please let us know ahead of time.

3. If you are offered a position, you will need to read and sign our Volunteer Agreement, which applies to all of our volunteers.
Our policy requires that we also need to have a Volunteer Agreement on file for all of our positions. Again, please let us know if you have trouble viewing, completing or submitting the form.

4. As soon as your Volunteer Agreement is sent in, you may submit your profile page form, so that we can create a web page about you. You may use an "assumed name" for your ISN work, if you are concerned about Internet privacy issues, which many of us are. We just need your real name on the Application, of course. It's an excellent idea to copy your entry before submitting, as sometimes things go wrong with our forms submissions. You may also just email the information for your profile to volunteers@sclero.org.

5. Follow Up
Any time you ever have a question, as an applicant or volunteer, please contact us right away. No question is ever too small. We always want to hear from you. Especially, keep in touch with us to keep your profile updated, and always let us know when you change your email address.
